Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Develops strategic communications plans for client groups, manages execution, and measures results. Organizes the execution of tactical communications plans and global integration programs with staff.
Leads cross-functional alignment and global integration of communications strategies.
Plans and manages department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on communications strategies within the organization.
Defines and communicates processes for improving business planning, cross-functional communication, work integration, and teamwork between partners from cross-functional departments. Manages relationship with internal and external groups to develop overall strategies and processes for completing work.
Recommends communication budgets and timelines. Determines distribution of budget to tactical projects and PR campaigns and is accountable for meeting budget and timing targets.
Develops and documents communications strategies with other Public Affairs teams, PR agencies, business partners and cross-functional departments to meet business objectives.
Presents communications strategies, execution details and performance results to leadership and other departments.
Ensures compliance to brand standards. Trains global business and agency partners on communications tools.
Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results.
Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.
Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.
Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partner, business and customer results.
Summary of Experience - you have clearly demonstrated experience in:
Media strategy development (5-7 years)
Narrative development for large, multinational companies (5-7 years)
Communications planning and management (5-7 years)
Relationship management with external agencies, vendors or business partners (5-7 years)
Relationship management, leading, organizing, inspiring cross-functional teams/groups (5-7 years)
Strong written and verbal presentation skills (min. 7 years)
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, writing or similar degree
Mastery of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint and major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, more); preferred
