Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Actsas contact for all users on system issues or problems. Troubleshoots, analyzesand escalates software and hardware issues as needed to ensure resolution andkeep payroll systems operational.

  • Develops recommendations and coordinates issueresolution with Information Technology (IT) and outside service providers basedon business unit priorities.

  • Documents and communicates problem resolution.

  • Documentsappropriate training materials to support the needs of the functional area. Assistsin providing ongoing end-user systems training to ensure continued and correctuse of application and to roll out new tools and procedures.

  • Monitors payroll system performance; analyzes problems and recommends solutions. Monitors usage,practices, trends to identify potential problems. Researches, design andschedules standardized reports or create adhoc reports or data queries tosupport the business unit. Maintains a log of completed and ongoing systemchanges.

  • Participatesin cross-functional teams to provide recommendations on new initiatives orprojects.

  • Workswith IT partners, functional analysts and vendors on small to medium projectsto coordinate system enhancements. Tracks project progress and provides updatesto impacted parties. Communicates new system functionality to department andassists users in understanding implications.

Summary of Experience:

  • Functional experience in relevant business area (payroll,payroll tax) - 2 years

  • End-user support and training - 1 year

  • Systems design, testing and implementation - 1 year

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orallyand in writing

  • Effective customer service skills

  • Able to successfully function during times of ambiguity andchanging priorities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to convey technical information in an accessibleand understandable manner

  • Analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Systems and process flow documentation skills

  • Understanding of functional area business objectives,strategies and work flow processes

  • Working knowledge of business-specific application system(e.g., SAP, HRMS, Oracle)

  • Administrative and organizational skills
